1. Click the EDIT ME button to edit this news item.Then continue to read the text below.
2. Set the DATE for your news item, using the three drop down boxes marked DATE to set the Day, Month and Year for your item.
3. Enter a TITLE to describe your news item. e.g. "School Wins Website Award".
(Tip: The TITLE is displayed in the news index when a visitor clicks your website's news button. It also becomes the link that the user will click to read the STORY of the news item.)
4. The ICON IMAGE field allows you to set a small image to appear next to the news item's TITLE when viewed in the news index.
To set an image, click the "Image picker" button.
Use the image picker palette to select the small sized image you wish to use.
A mini preview of the image is shown above the icon image field, indicating ICON IMAGE has been set.
5. The INDEX DESCRIPTION appears directly under the TITLE when news items are viewed in the news index. Use the INDEX DESCRIPTION to provide a "teaser" to encourage visitors to click on the news item to read it in full. e.g. "school receives Golden Owl Award"
6. In either of the two large text fields (the field above and in this field) type the STORY for your news item. You may need to adjust the amount of text in each field, depending on the "height" of the image you set to accompany your STORY.
7. The "Image picker" button (above right) allows you to set a medium sized image to appear alongside your news item's STORY when viewed in full.

8. When you are happy with your content, click the SAVE ME button. Your Item is added to the news index.
9. To make further changes, click the TITLE of the news item and then click the EDIT ME button.
Make you revisions and then click the SAVE ME button.
10. To delete a news item, click the TITLE of the news item and then click the EDIT ME button. Click the DELETE ME button to delete the item.
